Privacy policy

Effective 4 November 2026

Hold the Line has no accounts, no ads and no tracking. What you do in it stays with you.

What stays on your device and in your iCloud

Your campaigns, plans, holds, missed days, medals, the mark you draw as your seal and your settings are stored on your device. If iCloud is turned on for the app, they sync through your own private iCloud database, which only you can read. We never receive them.

The live count

To show how many people are on the same campaign this week, the app sends our server a random install ID created on your device, the campaign, the week, the day and what happened (for example, that you held the line). The install ID is not linked to your name, email, Apple Account or device identifiers. We keep these anonymous records to count participants and to understand how the app is used. Our server runs on Cloudflare, which processes your IP address briefly to deliver requests and to limit abuse. We do not store it.

Apple Health

If you turn on the march for The Legion, the app reads your walking and running distance from Apple Health to draw your progress. This happens only on your device. The app never writes to Health and never sends Health data anywhere.

Subscriptions

Purchases are made through Apple. We use RevenueCat to check whether your subscription is active. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID and your App Store purchase details, as described in the RevenueCat privacy policy. We do not receive your payment details.

Notifications

Reminders are scheduled on your device. They are not sent from a server.
